As the Better For You movement and generational shifts increase demand, ZPG urges platforms to make menus discoverable.
Riegelsville, PA — July 23, 2025 — Zero Proof Go, a purpose-driven hospitality platform advocating for more inclusive beverage access, has launched a public campaign urging discovery platforms like Google, Yelp, and OpenTable to add filters that help guests find bars and restaurants offering no- and low-alcoholic (NoLo) drink menus.
As demand for non-alcoholic and low-alcohol drinks rises, Zero Proof Go calls on tech platforms to make these options discoverable — for guests and venues alike.
As part of its “Heard!” campaign, the initiative aims to bring visibility to a growing segment of hospitality — one that’s long been overlooked by platform design. This isn’t just about sobriety or temporary lifestyle trends like Dry January. Guests across generations are seeking options for wellness, medication, cultural reasons, or simply preference. What they want is thoughtful, intentional menus — and a simple way to find them.
“People are groping around in the dark, trying to find venues that have put real thought into their NoLo offerings — and it shouldn't be this hard,” says Heather Ransome, founder of Zero Proof Go and a 30-year hospitality veteran. “Discovery tools adapted for gluten-free and vegan. Now it’s time for inclusive beverage menus.”
Despite massive growth in the NoLo category and widespread consumer demand, current platforms lack basic filters to help users find these options. Many venues already offer creative, adult non-alcoholic menus — but without visibility, guests are left guessing and businesses lose potential revenue.
Why It Matters
As our world becomes increasingly digital, finding meaningful places to connect in real life has never been more important. Inclusive bars, restaurants, bottle shops, and social spaces create opportunities for everyone to belong — whether they drink alcohol or not.
But without proper visibility on platforms like Google, Yelp, and OpenTable, these venues are often overlooked. Access matters. Visibility matters. And finding a place where you feel welcome shouldn’t be a challenge.
By the Numbers
72% - A majority of U.S. adults now identify as flex drinkers — they consume alcohol occasionally but also choose alcohol-free options. This cultural shift is reshaping hospitality expectations.
1 in 4 - One in four U.S. adults participated in Dry January 2024. They’re not all sober — they simply want better-for-you options and inclusive menus.
$30 Billion - The global NoLo market is projected to reach $30B by 2028, proving this is more than a movement — it’s a high-growth revenue stream.
52 Million - In 2024 alone, over 52 million people searched Google for mocktails, non-alcoholic beers, and Dry January resources — yet still can’t filter for these on most platforms.
The Campaign
As part of the initiative, Zero Proof Go is collecting feedback through a public poll, allowing guests, hospitality pros, and brands to vote on intuitive category names. The platform is compiling this data alongside a petition and real-life stories to present directly to discovery platforms as proof of demand.
“Social media is flooded with people asking, ‘Where can I get a great mocktail?’” Ransome says. “Venues are stepping up — it’s time platforms do the same.”
